Marketing can usually be broken down into three steps:

Despins-Splash_AirparkAd_January2016 (1)1) Tell people how you make their life better.

2) Make the message stand out.

3) And do it over, over and over again.

As the New Year approaches, everyone wonders “How can I make my next year better?”  Our suggestion, creativity. It is the key ingredient in the second step of the marketing process. Creativity allows you to say something clearly but in a way that stands out among the constant flood of messages we receive everyday. Some people  approach creativity as a serious skill set to be honed and practiced. And it is. We have a great team of graphic designers, content writers and strategist that are creative geniuses.  Everyone has some creativity. Your business and your mindset can benefit from a little bit of creativity.

Creativity can be as simple as having a little fun. Sometimes we take life and especially business a little too serious. We are so focused on being your “professional” that we cut out all creativity; as a result our messages become generic. Generic = less effective.

Creativity can mean doing something you have always done but taking the active step of thinking about how you can do it differently. Instead of using the same words over and over again, break out the thesaurus. Add a little bit of color! Oh heck, color outside the lines! Have a little fun. That is our challenge and our tip for how to be more effective in your marketing in the New Year.

Color outside the lines, have fun. Not only will you benefit personally, your bottom line will benefit as well.
